Decorate-A-Bra Contest...

Awhile ago, I posted about decorating a bra for a contest for Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Auxiliary in Columbia, MO. This past Tuesday evening was the big event so Marsha and I met up with Denni to attend the reception/silent auction. There were several categories that were judged by a select group then those attending got to cast their vote for the People's Choice. Sorry to say, our motorcycle themed bra didn't place in any category but it did receive a couple of bids so someone did get to take it home! There were 133 bras decorated! I thought I'd share a few of them with you here....

Many thought this looked like a Victoria's Secret bra.....

This one was signed by Carl Edwards.....

I do remember this one being called..."Abracadabra"

I love this one.... it's called "Simply Riveting" donated by Sheet Metal Workers (yes, it's metal).....

"She has nice.....eyes"....by Dr. Whitsons office.....

An assortment of "wonder woman" bras.....

MIZ-ZOU....black & gold bras.....

Too cute...a Halloween bra....

And some more....bottom row, 2nd from left is done with duct tape .....

This was fun....and for such a good cause! This was their first "Decorate-A-Bra" Contest and if they do it again....I'm there!
And which bra won the People Choice? The Sock-Monkey bra.....
Another bra that I thought was really cool was the one in the bottom right corner of the photo below...."Stampin' out breast cancer".... covered with postage stamps.....

I hope you all are having a great week! It's much cooler today, and rainy. Not my idea of a nice day when I can't stay in where it's nice and cozy!

Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Hello All! I hope you are having a wonderful week! My sister, Denni called me on Monday inviting me to go with her to a state fair concert for Tuesday night! She had just won last minute tickets from work to see Little Big Town.........

Opening the show was Missouri gal Candy Coburn! She put on a really good show and she performed her new breast-cancer anthem, “Pink Warrior”. Profits from the single cd and that downloaded from her web site will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Please do check it out......
