Hello All! I hope you are having a wonderful week! My sister, Denni called me on Monday inviting me to go with her to a state fair concert for Tuesday night! She had just won last minute tickets from work to see Little Big Town.........

Opening the show was Missouri gal Candy Coburn! She put on a really good show and she performed her new breast-cancer anthem, “Pink Warrior”. Profits from the single cd and that downloaded from her web site will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Please do check it out......

Handmades of late....

Good Morning All! I just thought I'd share a couple of my latest handmades with you....just added these little "wicked" mini-pillows to my etsy shop. A little x-stitch design by Primitive Betty....you can find a link to her blog in my blog list.

And remember this? I think I posted pics awhile back of this work in progress. Well I finally got it finished...now to find a frame for it. Unless I decide to put it into a pillow. This is a Notforgotten Farm design, 'Homeplace at Christmas', and her blog can also be found in my blog list (Farmhouse Notforgotten).
I hope you had a wonderful week and are off to having a great weekend!! I think it's going to be a quiet one here at the farm.

Etsy listings & other needful info....

Last night, I drifted off to sleep to the sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning. This morning, I awoke all too early to the same. Awake at 4 am...reading for an hour until I realized I wasn't going to go back to sleep so I just got up and put on the coffee. Near two hours later, it's still stormy. Maybe I should turn on the weather to see if this is what we are in for for the day or if it's to clear off and get unbearably hot!

Yes, I finally took some time to snap a few pics and get some things listed in my Etsy shop! I hope to be adding more things later this week! And.....

I can't believe it's about this time already! In one short month it will be...

Ahh...Home Again...

No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth! I've just been out in the truck with John for the past week. We left last Monday and I just got back home yesterday afternoon! John had to "keep on truckin'" though....has a load going to Alabama/Florida for Monday/Tuesday. Always nice going out with him, but always nice to get back home! We went from Ottumwa, Iowa down to Houston, Texas then worked our way back up to Ottumwa with stops in Waco, Dallas and Oklahoma City. I took along a good book, which I finished, and of course some handwork. I was just about to finish up that counted cross stitch I've been working on when luck would have it I ran out of the color needed so I worked up a couple smaller projects and started another bigger project. I was hoping to finish the one last night but, again, as luck would have it, I didn't have anymore of that particular color of floss in my stash here at home either! That means a trip to the quilt shop...Oh dern!
It's Sunday, so I really need to get myself off here and get ready for church! Then, I need to hit the grocery store on the way home....what a fun-filled afternoon for me!
I hope you had a great week...and have yourself a wonderful day today!
